Creating reflexive digital research workflows

Abstract
Adopting digital tools and online spaces as part of one’s “research workflow” can present scholars with political, ethical and methodological dilemmas. By engaging in continuous reflexive practice, we can consider the positive and negative consequences of these technological choices. In this lecture, I will present a model for creating reflexive digital research workflows that include staying engaged with these potential consequences. I will illustrate how this model can be used to create a paperless literature review workflow, digital data source workflow, transcription workflow, and representation of findings workflow.
