Abstract

In recent decades, there has been a growing interest in the affective aspects of interpreting. How does emotion manifest in interpreting? How do interpreters process negative and positive emotional content? Do they emotionally converge with the speaker?

In this presentation I will address these questions by summarising the results of research that employs both psychophysiological and self-report methods to study emotional language processing in interpreting.
