The Polish Fulbright Alumni Association (PFAA) and Culture Vultures have the pleasure to welcome everybody to a talk by Prof. Mary Ellen Curtin from American University in Washington D.C., titled “Rethinking Race and Political Biography: Barack Obama’s Dreams from my father: a story of race and inheritance.”

The event will be held in Collegium Heliodori, room 211, on May 14th, 2025, at 11:30.

Before he became president in 2008, Barack Obama authored a best-selling memoir that helped propel him to the nation’s highest office and into history. But what made Obama’s personal story so compelling to Americans? And what has happened to him and to that story since he left office?

We will discuss your questions about Obama’s history and his legacy.

Come and join us!
