National Canadian Film Day at the Faculty of English

Canadian Literature Research Unit and the CLiP Reading Group cordially invite WA students and staff to celebrate National Canadian Film Day at the Faculty of English.

National Canadian Film Day has been celebrated in Canada since 2014. This year, the Faculty of English is proud to join the event thanks to the generosity of the Embassy of Canada to Poland and the assistance of the Polish Association for Canadian Studies.

The screening of “Seeds” (2024), a Canadian thriller directed by Kaniehtiio Horn, will take place on 15 April 2026 (Wednesday) in Aula, Collegium Heliodori, ul. Grunwaldzka 6. We will start at 1:15 p.m. and finish before 3 o’clock.

About the film

In this tense thriller, a Mohawk internet personality receives her first sponsorship, promoting the seed and fertilizer company Nature’s Oath. But when she returns to her reserve, she discovers a dark side to the company that threatens both her and her people.
