On October 27, 2023, Kornelia Boczkowska gave a book talk for the Society of Cinema and Media Studies on the invitation of John Powers from Washington University in St. Louis and Oksana Chefranova from Yale University, co-chairs of the ExFM (Experimental Film and Media) scholarly interest group at SCMS.
Founded in 1959, the Society for Cinema and Media Studies is a world renowned and leading scholarly organization in the United States for studying film, television and media.
Kornelia Boczkowska’s book, Lost Highways, Embodied Travels: The Road Movie in American Experimental Film and Video (Brill, 2023), has been funded by the National Science Centre, Poland (grant no. UMO-2018/31/D/HS2/01553), Terra Foundation for American Art Research Travel Grant to the United States (grant no. 0614-4-3b) and ESSE Type B Bursary (2018).
