With much fanfare, Prof. Magdalena Wrembel and Prof. Marcin Kilarski have been inducted as full members of Agder Academy of Sciences and Letters (Agder Vitenskapsakademi [external link]).

The ceremony took place in Kristiansand (Norway) on 25 October 2024 and was followed by a celebration of old friendships, Norwegian cuisine and a visit to the newly opened Kunstsilo museum. The visit was also an opportunity to strengthen scientific activity with Prof. Ernst Håkon Jahr, including ongoing and new research projects on multilingualism and the history of Norwegian linguistics.

Agder Academy was established in 1962. The Academy has over 300 members, the majority of whom are academics, featuring professors at the University of Agder, other Norwegian universities as well as foreign universities, including AMU. A Poznań chapter of the Academy was established in 2009. The main mission of Agder Academy of Sciences and Letters is to strengthen the scientific activity in the Agder region, and increase the general understanding of the vital importance of science in society.
