The TEAM project recognized as an example of good practice in the Erasmus+ program

The National Agency of the Erasmus+ Program and the European Solidarity Corps distinguished the implementation of the "Strategic Partnership" project entitled "Teacher Education About Multilingualism (TEAM)", contract number 2020-1-PL01-KA203-082136, as an example of good practice in the Erasmus+ program. Information about the project's distinction is available on the Erasmus+ project results platform.

The main goal of the project was to create materials for educating teachers about bi- and multilingualism and to improve the quality of academic instruction by creating a new, interdisciplinary course on multilingualism. The project partnership included specialists from Adam Mickiewicz University (project beneficiary), the Jagiellonian University, Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University for Foreigners in Siena, universities in Konstanz, Granada, Rijeka and Edinburgh. The project was implemented as part of the international Bilingualism Matters network.

The main beneficiary of the project was the University of Adam Mickiewicz. The Poznań team included: Prof.Anna Ewert (project manager), Prof.Aleksandra Wach, Prof.Michael Hornsby, Dr. Victoria Kishchak (project manager) and Dr. Grzegorz Krynicki.

The project produced audiovisual materials such as screencasts, interviews with recognized specialists in the field of bi- and multilingualism and testimonials of multilingual individuals, which are available to the general public via a dedicated YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@TEAMultilingual. The project course is available at the following address: https://fon.wa.amu.edu.pl/moodle/course/view.php?id=4 (no login required). The course is divided into four thematic modules devoted to the linguistic, neuro-cognitive, socio-cultural and educational aspects of multilingualism. All project materials are available in nine language versions (English, Polish, Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, Croatian, Hebrew and Arabic). The course can be used in academic teaching and as self-study materials for teachers and other professionals involved in education, as well as by parents of multilingual children.
