Dr. Kornelia Boczkowska from the American Studies Research Unit: Language and Culture curated a special program "An Animal Is Not a Metaphor" at the 62nd Ann Arbor Film Festival on the invitation of the executive director of the festival, Leslie Raymond. On March 30, 2024, Kornelia Boczkowska presented a program composed of 8 experimental films, made an introduction to the screening and led a discussion with the artists in attendance (Allison Holt, Scott Stark, Kit Young).
Established in 1963, the Ann Arbor Film Festival is the oldest and largest experimental film festival in the world and one of the premier film festivals for showcasing the work of independent and experimental filmmakers.
