From March 12th to the 15th, English philology students, Marta Tomaszewska and Michał Turostowski, had the pleasure to attend the 2026 McDonald Conference for Leaders of Character, which took place at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, USA.
The leitmotif of the conference was “Innovation with Integrity: Values-Based Leadership for Multidimensional Challenges.” The event presented a unique opportunity to discuss leadership built on values, empathy, and transparent purpose. Marta and Michał took part in panels and workshops which crossed the academic perspective with a practical approach to leadership. The students also had a chance to meet and collaborate with renowned leaders from different fields including Bob McDonald, Jason Garrett, Holly Ridings, Dr Dana Born, as well as Maciej Łaska.
The time spent at West Point allowed our students to view leadership from a novel, international point of view. Attending the conference provided Marta and Michał inspiration for further personal growth with emphasis on collaboration, accountability, and acting in accordance with core values
