On Wednesday, 20 May 2026, the Faculty of English at Adam Mickiewicz University hosted the fourth edition of Research Day—an event that has become a regular part of the Faculty calendar and an important platform for presenting student research projects.

This year’s edition brought together a record number of participants, with as many as 90 students presenting their posters. Research Day was also attended by numerous Faculty of English staff members and guests interested in the research conducted at our Faculty. The event opened with a lecture by Professor Michael Bamberg from Clark University, Worcester, entitled “Data, Methods, and Methodology,” which provided an inspiring introduction to the rest of the day.

The lecture was followed by a student poster session, during which students presented their research projects in linguistics, literary studies, cultural studies, and interdisciplinary research. Once again, the corridors of our Faculty were filled with academic discussions, exchanges of ideas, and the inspiring energy of young researchers.

The event also included a Best Poster Presenter competition.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the event and contributed to its organization. We are delighted that Research Day has once again created a space for sharing research passion, developing academic interests, and building a scholarly community at our Faculty.
