The article authored by Roksana Szczypek (PhD candidate), dr hab. Katarzyna Jankowiak, and dr. Marcin Naranowicz (Department of Psycholinguistic Studies) has been published in the prestigious journal Brain and Language.

The study aimed to examine how bilinguals process morally charged content presented in their native language and in a foreign language. The results showed that bilinguals are less sensitive to content that violates moral norms when presented in a foreign language. These findings highlight the automatic and emotional nature of morality processing in the native language, as well as a more analytical approach to morality-related issues in a foreign language. The study provides new evidence that the language of operation can influence how we perceive and process content.
