Dr Biljana Vlašković Ilić is a Full Professor of English Literature and Language at the English Department of the Faculty of Philology and Arts, University of Kragujevac, Serbia. She teaches courses on Shakespeare, British, American, Canadian, Irish, and Scottish literature. She published the study History for Life: The Case of Bernard Shaw in 2018, and the textbook Early American Literature in 2020, as well as numerous papers in international and national academic journals. She is an active member of the International Shaw Society (ISS), the European Shakespeare Research Association (ESRA), and the International Shakespeare Centre. She has worked with students within the Harold Pinter Drama Group that she founded in 2009 and has directed several plays, including those by Pinter, Bernard Shaw, and Oscar Wilde, that were performed both in Serbia and abroad. Her research interests are in theater studies, Shakespearean studies, cultural studies, and literary history.
