The program aims to provide students of English with a valuable insight into and a broad spectrum of knowledge about American literature, history, society, life and institutions as well as culture and art in the context of contemporary trends and phenomena that have defined and continue to shape American identity.

The study program encompasses the history and present-day of American literary genres, society, political system, media, visual arts, film and varieties of American English.

Enrolment

New first-year MA students, after having received confirmation of acceptance to the Faculty of English, may enroll in the program using the electronic form made available to them during the organizational meeting of first-year students.

Note: The American Literature and Culture program is not connected to any particular MA seminar.
