Members of the Department of Contemporary English and Multilingualism, as well as the Experimental Phonology and Phonetics Laboratory had the privilege of participating in a study visit to Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). During the visit, they toured state-of-the-art phonetic laboratories at both universities and explored innovative research methodologies.
A highlight of the visit was the specially organized “AMU - UB - UAB - UPF Workshop on Experimental Methods in L2/L3 Pronunciation Research,” which took place on December 4–5, 2024. Participants had the opportunity to share experiences, deepen their knowledge of experimental research methods, and establish valuable academic connections.
This scientific trip was made possible thanks to the IDUB scientific award under competition no. 141, granted in recognition of the department’s outstanding publication achievements.
